Yachts for sale in the Aegean

The Aegean coast is the centre of yacht charter in Turkey. The run from the Bodrum peninsula through Datça, Bozburun, Marmaris and Göcek down to Fethiye keeps the bays close enough together that two or three hours under way is usually enough to reach the next stop. The season opens in late May and holds until mid-October. Through July and August the meltemi builds from the northwest in the afternoon; mornings are calmer. June and September strike the best balance between sea temperature and how busy the anchorages get. Bodrum, Göcek and Marmaris all have full-service marinas. Fuel, water and technical support are straightforward at these three. Smaller bays offer little or nothing, so itineraries are usually planned to return to a marina.
