Data Protection Notice
SERENISSIMA Yacht Charter acts as data controller under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. This notice explains how we handle the personal data you send us through this site.
What we collect
When you complete a charter, purchase or valuation enquiry, we process your first name, surname, email address, telephone number, preferred contact channel and language, together with the details you provide in the form. For valuation enquiries we also collect information about your vessel: builder, model, year, length and home port. For security purposes we store an irreversible cryptographic hash of your IP address; the address itself is never recorded.
Why we process it
We process your data solely to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and conduct pre-contractual discussions. The legal basis is Article 5(2)(c) of the Law, as the processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract. Separate explicit consent is obtained before we contact you for marketing purposes; withholding that consent does not affect the handling of your enquiry.
Who we share it with
Your data is shared with our hosting and email service providers only to the extent necessary to deliver the service. If your enquiry concerns a specific yacht operated by a third party, the information required to arrange the booking is shared with that operator. Your data is never transferred or sold to third parties for advertising or sales purposes.
How long we keep it
Once your enquiry is concluded, your data is retained for five years, the period required by our commercial and legal obligations. At the end of that period the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the Law you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing, to know the third parties to whom it has been transferred in Turkey or abroad, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request erasure or destruction, and to object to processing.
Requests can be sent to the email address on our contact page. We respond within thirty days at the latest. If your request is refused or you are not satisfied with our response, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
